The story of Adam and Eve is very well detailed in the Quran in two places in particular:
The First Part: Surrat ul Saad, 38:71-85. In this part, God asks that all Angels prostrate before Adam because Adam had the Spirit of God's in him which made him holy(38.72) All of them do except Ibliis. He objects saying he would not prostrate before someone God created mud from while God created him from fire. Then God banishes him from the Kingdom but he asks to be respited so God respites him until the Last Day. In the pact, Satan vows to make as many men as he can fall from God's grace! God vows that He would fill him and them in the hell fire!
The Second Part: Surrat ul A`raaf, 7:19-25. In this part, God tells Adam to reside in the garden with his wife. To eat and use everything in it except this one tree. The Devil comes in, tells them that the only reason God does not want them to eat from that tree is because God doesn't want them to become Angels or immortals. They fall for it and eat from it! They Get banished from the Garden and into Earth where they are cursed to be against one another!
Many times in the Quran, God says Satan is our most open enemy. What that says is, "ask him, if you want!!!" But one of the most confussing thing in the Quran is God asking us not to worship the Devil:
Did I not make a covenant with you, O children of Adam, that you should not worship the Devil? Surely he is your open enemy, and that you should worship Me; this is the right way. Surrat ul Ya'sin, 36:60-61
But why would God talk like we worship the Devil? Who in their right mind would worship the Devil? You would be surprised! If you visit Yahoo's Faiths and Practices, you will see there is a whole faith called Satanism! Yep, there a whole lot believers out there in Satan(the Devil!!!) And please note, just because they worship the Devil doesn't make them any less than an Adamite, and as God says;
And thus did We make for every prophet an enemy, the Devils from among men and demons, some of them suggesting to others varnished falsehood to deceive (them), and had your LORD pleased they would not have done it, therefore leave them and that which they forge. Surrat ul An`aam, 6:112
Obviously, anyone who follows Satan becomes Devil. And thus Devils among us!!! And, surely, if God pleased they would not be so. But God is Just and is being Just to all of His creations. We seek refuge in Our LORD against the accursed Satan and his friends! Amen!
